Fox2, Dick--I am seeking information on the Thomas J Fox family.  Thomas indicates on war papers that he was in Choctaw Co., MS, until 1861.  In 1848, he requested that a letter be mailed to him in Greensboro.  He married Julia A Dick about 1849/50.  They had their first child in Oct 1850, James Fox.  Other known children born in MS were Nancy C. Fox, born about 1853/54; William David Fox, born about 1857;  Alexander Harrison Fox, born 1859.  Thomas is listed on the roster of Mexican American War volunteers as being from Carroll Co.  If you have info or connect to Thomas, please connect me.  Thanks, Fran.  gfrc35@hotmail.com     05-04

McBride--I need help finding any information regarding a GGGrandfather. I have been trying to follow my genealogy and have not been able to get back past the information that follows:  Russell McBride was born about 1795 in Western, NC, and died in Webster County, Mississippi.  Wife unknown.  Russell McBride fought in the war of 1812 with General Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans.  In 1815 the army went down the Natchez trace on the way to New Orleans.  Russell liked what he saw and came back with his family after the war to homestead on Big Black Creek and Natchez trace in Webster County, MS.  The homestead sold in the 1930's during the great depression.  The timber on the homestead was sold by the new owners for more money than the family received for the land.  Children of Russell McBride are:  i. Wallace McBride.  ii. Toby McBride born about 1840; died about 1890, Webster County, Mississippi.  I know the information to present, but not into the past.  Thank you for any assistance you can graciously provide.  John McBride. johnmc@fidalgo.net    12-03

Duckworth, Bland, Dill--I have been searching for my grandfather, Wayne Duckworth. He married my grandmother, Maude Bland in Webster Co., MS in 1909, they had 2 sons. He left in 1912 before my dad was born. (Dale Duckworth) All we know is that he married again in Alabama, had a son. I am told he died, his wife married again, and the son was adopted by her new husband. I know all are dead, but I have this great need to find out something about him.  As I never saw him, I would like a picture and know what happened and where he is buried. I also found a 1900 census where he is listed living with his grandfather Steve S. Dill. He was 10 years old and it was a Webster county census. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Kelly, Jennings, McCarter-- Searching for info on my gg grandfather Ira Malcolm Kelly, born 1836, died between 1860-1866; his marriage to Anna Arabella Jennings before 1857 and/or cemetery name.  Have found 4 land patents, all Sec 19, Twp. 21, two for 40 acres, two for 39.92 acres one of which was jointly held with James W. McCarter.  At the 1860 census they had two sons, Harmon F. Kelly, age 3, and Benjamin B. Kelly, age 6 mo., and a relative of Anna;  Post Office listed on census sheet is Fame.  I was recently in the area and found Fame Church and cemetery, but graves there are more recent.  Harmon F. also disappears and may be buried in Webster Co.  Benjamin accompanied his mother and step family to Texas by 1890. dffenn@juno.com  11-02

Weatherbee, Piak--I need to find someone who could check your cemetery books/lists for a baby twin girl who was born and died on 12 August 1943. Parents were Charles W. Weatherbee & Janie Sue (Piak) Weatherbee.  Child was named Winnie Ray Weatherbee.  Her twin sister is looking to see if she was ever 'buried'.  At the time of this home birth, the parents lived in Lodi.  I have contacted the state department, but there is no record of a birth/death for this baby.  Hopefully someone could check the cemetery lists you have for Webster County, MS.  I have also contacted the Webster Public Library in Euporia regarding old newspapers on microfilm now, but they said the Webster County Courthouse had them in the Chancery Clerks Office.  I have contacted them, have not heard from them yet.  Please let me hear from you/someone soon.  Thank you ...  Debbie Edwards  foxeye@flash.net  10-01
