Pressly, Junkin--I am looking for information regarding Tabitha Pressly (born 1799 died after 4 Nov 1866, Lowndes County, MS). Her husband is buried in Beersheba Cemetery, Lowndes County, MS (born 27 Jan 1793, died 17 Oct 1863). Alexander Pressly and Tabitha lived with their daughter Mary Frances Junkin (born 16 Aug 1836, died 1 Aug 1905, buried in Pheba Cemetery, Clay County, MS) married John Phillip Junkin (born 23 Apr 1833, died 5 Jul 1911, also buried in Pheba Cemetery, Clay County, MS). This information is on the 1860 census for Pickensville, AL. I'm trying to find a tombstone for Tabitha. She's not in Beersheeba Cemetery with her husband, she's not in Woodlawn Cemetery with her son, Abner Perrin Pressly and his family, and I don't know if she is in Pheba Cemetery. Can anyone help? I do not know if he even lived in West Point or not, but I assume so, because my great-grandmother, Minnie Belle Howard, was born in West Point on December 21, 1874. My great-great grandmother's name was Martha Naomi Vaughn. My great-greats would have married sometime in 1860. I do know that my great-great grandfather served in the civil war, though he would have been around 50 at the time he enlisted (1863-1864). My problem is that I cannot find any information about him other than what has been passed down by the family. Can anyone help? leoninmelissatx@prodigy.net 01-03
